Payson Temple Dedication

We were able to go to the Payson Temple dedication with both of our families.  Clayton lives in Payson so we are pretty excited that there is going to be a temple close.  You can see the temple from his house.  It is beautiful!  I have always dreamed of getting married in the Salt Lake Temple since I was a little girl.  The moment I walked into the celestial room I knew that this is where I wanted to be married one day.  My dad made sure to ask them how many people can fit in the sealing room for us.  It was pretty funny. There is just something about this temple and the spirit there that brought me such peace.

I am so grateful for the temple, and the blessings of eternal families. I am grateful for my parents and there example of being married in the temple so my family can be sealed together.  I can't wait to be sealed together forever one day. The gospel truly brings me so much peace and happiness, and I couldn't be more grateful for it.

First Date

Our very first date this go around we went and saw a movie with Ed and Ali.  We ended up going to see The Longest Ride.  Which is the show that I saw that made me realize I needed to give Clayton another chance.  Clayton grabbed my hand right away which gave me butterflies again and made me realize that I had made the right decision.  After the movie we went back to my place and I sat and talked forever.  It was like we had never been apart.  I had told Clayton that I wanted to take things slow, and not rush into anything.  Clayton ended up kissing me that night, and yes there was fireworks (cheesy I know).  I told him that I thought we were going to take things slow.  He just laughed and said, "Yeah that's why I didn't kiss you on the first night. This is slow isn't it?" It was definitely a great first date.  I am grateful we were able to just pick up right where we left off, and I was able to get my best friend back.  I am excited to see where our relationship goes.

The Start of Something New

Clayton and I met in April on 2008.  We were set up on a date by Clayton's cousin Jodi who I worked with.  We dated on and off for about 3 years.  We broke things off for good I thought in November of 2011.  Four years later we reconnected and have never been happier. Heavenly Father definitely has a plan for each and every one of us.  I am so grateful that he knows exactly what will make us happy.  I feel like Heavenly Father definitely prepared me for Clayton to come back in my life.  The timing with everything could not have been more perfect.  It all started on April 4 when I received a phone call from Jodi.  Jodi told me that Clayton wanted to talk with me.  I had not heard from him or seen him in over 4 years.  I was dating someone at the time and thought I was happy so I thought now was the perfect time for him to call.  So I told her that she could give him my number.  Two weeks went by and I hadn't heard anything.  I thought that he had just chickened out.  Every day I anticipated his phone call.  My relationship started to fade away quickly with Atim. Heavenly Father allowed me to see who he truly was.   All I could do was think about Clayton, and remember the times we had together.  I remember being at the movie theater and watching the Longest Ride which is about a Cowboy who falls in love with a city girl.  My mom texted me during the movie and said don't go see that show.  I responded with a "it's too late I am in the theater".  It was at that moment that I realized how much I missed him, and wanted him to call.  Finally on my way back from my cruise I got a call from him.  My heart sank, and I couldn't answer.  I texted him and told him I would call him when I got back from California.  I finally got the courage up to call him.  Talking with him felt like we had never broken up. I felt like I was talking to my best friend.  He asked if we could meet up and go to lunch.  So we did meet up.  The moment I saw him I knew that he was different, everything about him was different.  He had such a light about him.  Both of us were so nervous.  It got to the point that the waiter came and asked if there was something wrong with the food because neither of us could eat.  We had a really good conversation which left me feeling confused, but hopeful. All of my feelings came back.  I told him that I needed a week to figure things out, and to not contact me.  It was probably the hardest week of my life.  I have never prayed so hard in my life either.  I decided to end things with Atim which was extremely hard.  I haven't cried that hard in a long time.  The moment I left his house a huge burden was lifted from my shoulders.  I knew that I had made the right decision.  A couple of days later Clayton went and talked with my parents.  After Clayton left my dad called and told me that I would be crazy not to get back together with him.  So after lots of prayer, and guidance from Heavenly Father I knew that I was supposed to be with Clayton.  I knew that I would regret it my whole life if I didn't give it another shot.  So we got back together, and I haven't looked back since.  I told him that we needed to take things slow which only lasted a day.  I truly believe that timing is everything.  I know that Heavenly Father knows what will make us happy.  Sometimes we have to be patient and wait for what he has in store for us.  In my eyes it is worth the wait.  I never dreamed of being so happy!

Cruisin with my Besties

About 6 weeks ago we were sitting on the love sac talking with Tori.  Her boyfriend had just broken up with her.  She was heart broken.  So one of us said we should go on a cruise, and before you know it we had tickets booked that night to go to Mexico.  That is what happens when a boy breaks you heart.  It was probably the best decision we ever made. It was such a blast.  Taylor, Tori, Ashley, and I were the ones who went. We went to Ensenada in Mexico.
We flew into LA and stayed a couple of days with Taylor's brother.  He spoiled us rotten. He drove many miles to pick us up and take us to the cruise ship.  He was awesome.

Day 1 of the cruise was a lot of orientation and of course a lot of eating.  The soft serve ice-cream is all you can eat.  It was definitely danger zone.  Ice-cream is my all time favorite, and we ate way to much of it.

Tori's cruise pants were definitely a highlight to our trip.  They brought us a good laugh, and we all wanted to wear them everyday.  Thank goodness Tori's mom bought them to give us a good laugh.

This was at midnight and we were starving.  So what do we do we go and get a whole plate of fries and demolish them in minutes.  The saying of people gaining 7 lbs on a cruise is very true.

Day 2: We woke up and had landed in Ensenada.  It was not what I expected it to look like, but it was very pretty.  We started the day off with a run on the cruise ship, and then we were able to go into Ensenada and do whatever we wanted to do.  We really wanted to go zip lining, and also go to the blow hole and shopping area.  We had an awesome guy on the tour bus who really hooked us up with a taxi driver all day who took us to the excursions for a lot cheaper then the cruise ship charges.

Zip lining was a blast.  They took us for an hour course where you would go through obstacle courses, and then through the zip line.  Some of the courses were really scary, but so exciting at the same time.  There were times that I couldn't look down because we were so high off the ground.  The zip line was incredible.  You would fly through the trees.  The scenery was beautiful as well.
I had flip flops on and so they had to tape my shoes.  I had some awesome looking duct tape shoes.

This is Tori's hot butt.  She has some serious "swass" going on.

I had to eat some street taco's just for Elder Whittaker.  They are as good as everyone says they are.  The Coke was one of my favorite parts as well.  It was so different then Coke here, and so good.

The churro's were to die for as well.

We got to go to a blow hole.  It was so cool.  About every 30 sec water would blow through this blow hole and shoot 50 feet into the air.  It was really cool.
We had a really fancy dinner one night.  We got to get all dressed up, and ate a really fancy meal.  Each night we sat by the same people, and so we got to know them really well.  We also had the same waiter's as well.  They were a lot of fun.  Tonight they danced and sang for us.  It was a lot of fun, and the food was delicious.

Tori kept us laughing at the dinner table.  Let's just say she ate a lot.  They would give us bread every time, and it never failed she always asked for more bread.  One night she even asked the other people if she could finish there bread.  She kept us laughing.

'
After we ate we went and saw a comedian.  The first show was kid friendly.  It was hilarious.  It was so funny that we decided to go to the adult show that night.  We didn't even last 5 minutes.  It was so crude, and the language was terrible.  Luckily we all share the same standards and we were able to leave right away.

So what do we do after we leave a crude comedy session we go and get a diet coke, and of course an ice-cream.  It makes everything better.  We had so many ice-cream cones that we lost track. It was definitely worth it.

Tori and Ash blew us away with the karaoke skills.  Ashley has an incredible voice, and performs all the time.  It was a lot of fun to watch her blow everyone away, and shock them with her voice.  She has some serious talent.  Tori has an awesome voice as well.  It was fun to watch them both up there.  Taylor and I were wimps.

Day 3: We cruised all day long.  So we spent most of the day laying out, eating ice-cream, and swimming in the pool.  It was so relaxing, and so much fun!! We definitely got some sun that day, and ate way to much food.

Cruising with these gals was just what I needed.  We laughed way to hard, ate way to much, got a ton of sun, and just enjoyed being with each other.  I am so grateful for the friends that God has blessed me with.  I don't know what I would do without them in my life.
