Half Marathon

I had an incredible experience running the American Fork Half Marathon which is a cancer drive.  I ran for my grandparents who died of cancer.  I started the race pretty sick, and honestly didn't think I would make it.  I prayed really hard that I would be able to finish the race.  Heavenly Father sent me two guardian angels who ran with me and helped me reach my goal.  I am so grateful for a loving Heavenly Father who knows exactly what we need, and when we need it.  I am grateful for my family who pushes me and helps me to reach my goals. I had trained really hard to get under 2 hours.  Cari stuck with me the whole entire race.  Towards the end I really needed a boost.  Cari helped me to realize that Nana and Papa bus were with us, and would help me finish the race. I was able to get the extra boost that I needed.   We came around the corner and we could see the  Finish Line.  The time clock said 1:58.  At that moment we sprinted to the finish line and came in at 1:59.  We made our goal.  I know that I definitely didn't do it alone.  I am so grateful for the strength that Heavenly Father was able to give me, and allowed me to see that I do have angels with me always.

I couldn't have done it without my support system.  Those who ran with me, and those who came and watched us cross the finish line.

Post Wedding Pool Party

The celebrations with Chase and Kassi kept coming.  They had another reception in Orem. It was in Todd and Ann's backyard.  It isn't a party with the Whittaker's unless we all end up in the Pool.   Chase was the first one to jump in with his bride in her wedding dress.  Luckily Kassi was a great sport.  After that everyone was thrown in the pool in there clothes.  It was definitely a party, and such a fun time.  Gotta love my crazy family!!

California Day 4: Wedding Day

The whole reason why we went to California was for Chase and Kassi's Wedding.  They were sealed in the New Port Beach Temple.  It was beautiful! I am so proud of them for being worthy to be sealed for time and all eternity.  I am so grateful that I was able to go to there sealing especially with Clayton.  It made me really excited to be able to be sealed one day.  It really helped me realize what this gospel is all about.  It is all about the family. I am truly grateful for the family that I am blessed to be with forever.

One of the many things that I love about Clayton is how great he is with kids.  He is going to be an incredible Dad one day. He has a way with playing with them, making them feel like they are the most important thing, calming them down, and making sure they feel loved.  It melts my heart every time I watch him with his niece and nephews and makes me love him even more.

After the temple we went out on the pier.  It was beautiful.  They had a really good restaurant where right at the end of the Pier called Ruby's.  They had the best shakes there.  It was a lot of fun!

California definitely was a great trip. Staying on a beach house is definitely the way to go. Being with my family allowed me to realize how truly blessed I am to have such an amazing family who loves me, and supports me in all that I do.  I am really grateful that Clayton was able to come as well.  Being able to be with him every single day was the best.  I am glad that Chase decided to get married so that we could have a great family vacation.

California Day 3: Beach Day

BEACH DAY
We started our day off with a run on the beach.  I was so bummed because I always run with music and I forgot my head phones.  It turned out to be a big blessing.  Listening to the waves and God's creation was just what I needed.  I realized that so many times in our life we don't take time to just Be Still and listen.  Today I realized that I need to take more time to do that.  It was just what I needed.

After our run we headed down to play on the beach.  The whole Whitt clan came.  It was a blast to just go and relax, play in the waves, and enjoy being with family. .  The water was freezing, but it was definitely worth it.  Clayton of course threw me in surprise surprise.  He is the biggest pest.  It is a good thing that I love him.  He definitely knows how to keep me laughing.

California Day 2: "There is only one terminal here"

Today I probably had the biggest blonde moment ever.  I had booked Clayton's flight for him to come to California.  I was so excited to pick him up and see him.  We had gotten to the airport, and my dad and I went to go and get him.  He called me and said that he was off the plane, and asked where I was.  I told him we were by terminal 2.  He said," there is only one terminal here.  Are you at the right airport?" I immediately handed the phone to my dad.  We were at the wrong airport, and yes I was the one who booked his flight.  I had researched flights for the John Wayne airport a dozen times, and apparently that is what stuck in my brain.  So we got in the car and drove for 30 minutes to the right airport.  I knew that I would never live this one down. Let's just say I still haven't lived it down.  So we picked Clayton up at the right airport and drove straight to Knott's Berry Farm.

KNOTT'S BERRY FARM

Knott's Berry Farm definitely didn't disappoint.  We literally rode every single roller coaster. One right after the other.  Clayton had told me that rides that spin make him sick.  So he tried to avoid all of the Roller Coasters that spun.  We were getting ready to get on one of the rides, and he said that he was super worried about it, and probably shouldn't ride.  I tried talking him into not going, but he insisted on going haha okay maybe I didn't try super hard.  On the ride he kept saying I am going to puke, and me being the nice person I am just kept laughing.  We get off the ride, and his face is literally green.  Let's just say it didn't take him long before he threw up in the bushes.  I was really supportive and sat and laughed.  Aren't I nice? So I go to the wrong airport, and he pukes.  We are quite the pair.  It was all worth it though.

DODGER'S GAME

We ended the night by going to a Dodgers game.  We of course had to get a hot dog.  My favorite quote of the day was when my mom leaned over to me and said, "this is the best little wiener I have ever had".  There is nothing like a hot dog at a baseball game.  It was a really fun time.  We sure do love baseball in our family!!

California Day 1: Disneyland

Clayton and I hadn't been dating that long when I asked him to come to California with my family.  He was definitely a good sport and came to be with me and my crazy family.  I ended up driving down a day earlier with my sister so that we could go to Disneyland an extra day.  We had a blast! I am so glad that I got to spend time with Shea and Wyatt.  It was definitely a good bonding experience.  Wyatt absolutely loved it.

Wyatt loves the incredibles.  He is always watching it at home.  Well Mr. Incredible came out, and let's just say by the looks of the picture Wyatt was terrified.  He would not let go of me.  It was hilarious.  I tried putting him down and he freaked.  It gave us a good laugh.

Car's town was definitely our very favorite.  We spent the majority of our day here.  Wyatt was in heaven.

Disneyland was definitely a success.  We had a great day!! We definitely left being exhausted! We were there for almost 12 hours.  It didn't take long for Wyatt to fall asleep in the car.
